I'm a software engineer who likes building the systems other engineers build on: developer platforms, the distributed systems under them, and the AI layer on top.
At Capital One I started on deployment and release infrastructure and moved into the broader platforms and distributed systems behind its web and mobile apps. More and more of that work runs through AI now, both building AI-assisted developer tooling and using it day to day.
Retrofolio is where the same interests play out on my own time: a portfolio backtester I designed and run end to end, as much an excuse to push on production engineering (async pipelines, deploy automation, infrastructure-as-code) as on a real AI layer (explanation, a conversational agent, and semantic search). I write up the engineering as I go, mostly on Claude Code workflows, distributed systems, and the infrastructure around AI.
I studied computer science at Case Western Reserve University, finishing a B.S. and an M.S. with a specialization in artificial intelligence. Reach me on GitHub orLinkedIn.
